  • Hello, my name is Ashley Ambrecht and I thought it would be way more fun to do a voice memo. So hello. Welcome to the website.

Welcome to the about me. I support purpose-led founders and growing teams with operational structure they need to work sustainably and breathe a little easier. 'Cause let's be honest, we've all been part of a team where we're overworked and understaffed and that can contribute to many different factors.

Well, we're not gonna get into that right now. The point is, that I am here to bring the calm from the chaos. Now, where did it begin, me starting Ashley J ENG?

Well, over a decade ago, I was working as a hostess, and I was also travelling quite a bit as well, mainly in Europe. And my stepmother, she had cancer for the second time. Unfortunately, she didn't make it.

And so when I moved back to Canada, I was struggling to find what I wanted to do. However, I remember that she told me to go back to school and so I did. I really did.

Her death.. was an inspiration for me to live. And so I leaned into the administrative and bookkeeping program in Calgary. And from then on, this is where my journey, you know, began.

It helped me to have a higher pain role. I learned so much in different industries and the longest industry that I've been in has been property management, which is one I never, in a million years, would have imagined myself in. Alas, here we are.

So, as I've mentioned, you know, I've worked in many different industries. So my path definitely has range, from restaurants to salons, startups, property management, coworking spaces, you name it. I'm getting to them.

And each role has shaped how I show up now. Because what I have gotten to experience, and learned from and grow from, through leaders and teams, it's it's priceless. So what started as me being a hostess, to receptionist, to an executive assistant, to an admin assistant, to, oh, my goodness, so many.

I became a project manager. I became an onboarding specialist. I became today what I, you know, call myself a strategic operations partner.

And there's something that still to this day, I'm reminded of, where this wonderful female CEO told me, "Come to me with a solution, not the problem, "and this is how I position myself in my business as a freelancer and so forth. Even if you are to hire me full-time as an employee at your company, I want to come with to you with a solution to the problem. And maybe it's not the perfect solution but that's where my mentality is at 'cause the moment I heard those words, it changed the way that I worked. It changed me from being directed to leading.

So I am forever grateful to that amazing female CEO for saying that. Now, why does this work matter? This work that I do matters, because I know how difficult it is to run a business.

I know how strenuous it is to be or feel like you're the only one who is capable of doing it all. And you can't do it all, you know, that's the thing. You're going to burn out, and I've been there, I've burnt out, and I want to help purpose-led businesses, who are making a difference in this world to not get burnt out because we need your ideas, we need who you are to continue thriving in this life that needs your love tender and care.

And outside of the inbox, I am a builder by nature. I can sew I love to go outdoors into nature, preferably and be amongst the wildlife, the nature, trees, fresh air. Check out all the cool, different mushrooms.

You know, I walk to clear my mind and also to gain some excitement, some ideas. I meditate to stay grounded. My practice is every single day to develop that practice to continue that practice.

It is my foundation the mindfulness, being mindful of how I speak, what I think of. Most of these are rooted in Buddhism. I enjoy music and dancing.

I used to be a competitive dancer, and I do actually have some music released out into this world. Something I'm very grateful for. And travelling, I love to travel, I love to eat good food, and I am alcohol-free. I am sober. I don't drink. I don't do anything actually that I used to because I believe in the purity of my mind, heart and soul are free from suffering because of a lot of a lot of these substances that don't hold any value for me anymore.

And so that's about me. That's about it. And I bring the presence and attentiveness and the calm. I bring this all to you to say, this is who you're getting, someone who loves to learn, who's coachable, who is ready to be that person that you need in your team.

I cannot wait to chat with you.
